I’m looking for a writing buddy. Is anyone interested in being an accountability partner—to check in on progress, share milestones, and motivate each other while working on our debut novels?
A little about me:
I completed a first draft of 250+ pages about five years ago in Papyrus, which I had to abandon due to other life priorities. About three years ago, I wrote another draft of around 280 pages, which I also set aside.
Now I have two drafts of slightly different versions of the same story, and I’d like to start again—this time with the clear intention of finishing and publishing my novel. That’s why I’m looking for a writing buddy.
With two school-going kids and a full-time job, finding consistent writing time has become increasingly challenging, and I believe an accountability partner could make all the difference.
Hello deivyathukkaram, I am pleased to welcome you here. I hope you feel comfortable and can find your way around this forum. If you have any questions, we will be happy to help you.
I hope you enjoy writing and that you can actively exchange ideas with us here.
Regarding your concern, I think that the interface between two writers, over the Internet, with a language barrier, is very, very small.
In today’s world it is very difficult to blindly trust strangers.
A little hint for you: Just tell more about yourself, show the users here that you are real and who you are. Feel free to get involved. Then 100% friendships and connections are formed.
Just a word of caution. I am new to this community and perhaps I post the wrong topic under wrong section/subcommunity. In case I do that, please feel free to let me know!
A lot of members in this community speak English, nevertheless, to write a book in English is much, much more difficult than typing just a few words. Good luck with your project.
